Kvaratskhelia’s back-post finish and Jorginho’s trademark penalty set up a nervy, hard-fought finale between continental champions. VAR chalked off Fabian Ruiz’s early strike before Kvaratskhelia converted Doue’s low cross. A soft but given penalty on Marquinhos let Jorginho level, and extra-time saw misses at both ends. In the shootout, Safonov repeatedly guessed right, dragging PSG over the line 2-1.
