Italy responded to their opening Nations League defeat by beating Turkey 4-1 in Bursa. Alessandro Bastoni, Davide Frattesi and Michael Kayode put Roberto Mancini’s side three goals ahead before half-time, with Francesco Pio Esposito adding the fourth.
Mancini made eight changes from the defeat by Belgium and handed senior starts to several younger players. Turkey briefly responded through Baris Alper Yilmaz, but Italy quickly restored their three-goal advantage and moved onto three group points.
