Cody Gakpo scored in stoppage time to earn the Netherlands a 1-1 Nations League draw with Germany in Amsterdam. Felix Nmecha had put Germany ahead in the first half as Jurgen Klopp and Xavi Hernandez both made their managerial debuts.
The Netherlands had an earlier Virgil van Dijk header disallowed before Gakpo converted Ruben van Bommel’s late cross. Germany also lost Jamal Musiala before kick-off and Kai Havertz during the match to muscle problems, with MRI results still pending.
