Augsburg’s Robin Fellhauer scored after approximately eight seconds against Bayern Munich, setting a new record for the fastest goal in Bundesliga history. The extraordinary opener resulted from an error by Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.
Neuer received an early backpass from Luis Díaz but mishandled his attempted clearance under pressure. The ball struck Fellhauer and rebounded into his path for an easy finish. The goal surpassed the previous nine-second record shared by Karim Bellarabi and Kevin Volland.
