Inter and Italy legend Sandro Mazzola has died aged 83 following an illness. The one-club attacking midfielder scored 162 goals in 572 Inter appearances and helped the Nerazzurri win back-to-back European Cups during the club’s celebrated 1960s era.
Mazzola also won four Serie A titles and two Intercontinental Cups with Inter, then lifted Euro 1968 with Italy and reached the 1970 World Cup final. Inter described him as part of the club’s history after announcing his death.
