Alessia Russo Wins England Women’s Player of Year

Arsenal forward Alessia Russo has been named England Women’s Player of the Year for the second time. The 27-year-old beat Chelsea pair Lucy Bronze and Hannah Hampton in the supporter-voted award following another influential international campaign.

Russo featured in all ten England matches during the 2025-26 campaign, scoring five goals. She also scored in England’s 3-1 victory over Greece in their World Cup play-off first leg. Russo previously received the award two seasons ago.
