Trabzonspor and Mohamed Salah

Turkish club Trabzonspor have reported net debt of approximately 2.9 billion Turkish lira as of 31 August 2026. The financial disclosure follows significant commercial interest generated by the club’s summer signing of former Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah.
Trabzonspor’s published calculations account for assets, compensation claims and inflation-related adjustments. President Ertuğrul Doğan previously reported approximately 550 million lira in season-ticket sales within three days of Salah’s arrival. The club has not established that these revenues directly caused the reported debt position.
