Arne Slot pushed back against Jamie Carragher’s claim that Liverpool now look like a group of individuals, insisting his players still showed collective spirit. He accepted there were wider cohesion problems, but said the team did not give up after conceding late against Tottenham. Carragher had warned that boos at Anfield signalled a serious breakdown between team and supporters after Liverpool slipped further off the pace domestically. Slot replied that, despite repeated setbacks and a toxic atmosphere, his players kept fighting and therefore did not deserve that particular criticism.
