The Scottish Professional Football League has invited broadcasters to bid for the UK television rights to Scottish Premiership matches beginning with the 2029-30 season. The new tender could reshape the league’s broadcasting arrangements and the revenue available to its member clubs.

The current five-year Sky Sports agreement is worth £150 million and allows up to 60 live league matches per season through 2028-29. Premier Sports currently has rights to show up to 22 additional fixtures annually. The SPFL says it is open to changing the number of televised games under future agreements. Chief executive Neil Doncaster expects strong broadcaster interest. The separate Scottish League Cup agreement with Premier Sports remains in place until at least 2030-31.
