The SPFL reported record annual distributions approaching £50 million, an increase of £7.6 million or 18% over the previous year. Revenue growth came primarily from broadcasting, licensing, match data and sponsorship arrangements.
The financial results follow Scottish Premiership attendances exceeding four million for the first time last season. Chief executive Neil Doncaster credited domestic crowds and commercial rights income for supporting record payments across Scottish professional football.
