Real Madrid have submitted a dossier reportedly exceeding 50,000 pages to UEFA concerning Barcelona’s payments to former Spanish refereeing official Jose Maria Enriquez Negreira. UEFA described the material as substantial and will assess it within its continuing review.
Barcelona maintain the payments covered scouting and technical reports on referees and deny wrongdoing. UEFA said its ethics and disciplinary inspectors will examine Madrid’s material, while Barcelona stressed that no new proceeding has been opened against the club.
