Ex-Portland Timbers goalkeeper Jake Gleeson has won over $20 million in a medical malpractice lawsuit, after infected leg surgeries in 2018 ended his career and left him in constant pain.
A jury found Dr. Edelson negligent for improperly sterilized implants that led to 14 surgeries and lifelong physical damage. Gleeson, once an MLS Cup champion, detailed his trauma over a six-year legal fight.
