FIFA will distribute $355 million to clubs through its Club Benefit Programme during the World Cup cycle. The system compensates clubs for releasing players to national teams and now includes qualifying-round payments for the first time.
Clubs will receive $5,000 per player per day during the tournament, with a minimum tournament payment of $160,000 per player. Another $100 million is assigned to qualifier appearances, expanding the compensation model beyond the finals.
