Everton Under-21 forward Marin Sherif has been fined £5,000 after admitting breaches of FA betting regulations involving 61 football wagers. The bets were recorded between November 2024 and February 2026 through an account registered in his name.
Sherif maintained that he did not personally place the bets, an explanation accepted by the FA. An independent commission considered his admission, cooperation and remorse before determining the financial penalty. The total amount staked was approximately £2,000.
