Celtic and Rangers have both been ordered to play their next home Scottish Cup matches behind closed doors following disorder at last season’s quarter-final. Each club must also pay £100,000 to the opponent drawn for that fixture.
The sanctions follow pitch incursions, fireworks, missiles, police injuries and arrests after Celtic’s shootout win at Ibrox. A further home closure could be imposed if either club’s supporters commit more unacceptable conduct in this season’s Scottish Cup.
