Aston Villa, Tottenham and Coventry have become the first three-team group in Premier League history to all fail to score across the opening three rounds of the same season. Tottenham drew 0-0 at Nottingham Forest, while Villa drew 0-0 with Hull.
Opta identified the unprecedented start after each club completed three league matches without a goal. Villa previously lost to Brighton and Arsenal, Spurs lost to Brentford and Newcastle, and Coventry were beaten by Arsenal, Hull and Manchester City.
