Manchester City beat Sunderland 5-3 at the Etihad to preserve a perfect five-game Premier League record and move three points clear at the top. Antoine Semenyo scored twice, while Enzo Fernandez, Rayan Cherki and Erling Haaland also struck.
Sunderland’s Brian Brobbey scored a hat-trick despite finishing on the losing side. Haaland’s late goal meant he has now scored against all 25 Premier League clubs he has faced, while Enzo Maresca became the sixth manager to win his first five league games.
