Everton held Arsenal to a 1-1 draw at Goodison Park, severely denting the Gunners’ Premier League title hopes. Leandro Trossard opened the scoring for Arsenal, but Iliman Ndiaye equalised from the spot early in the second half.
A sloppy header led to Sterling assisting Trossard for the opener. But Arsenal’s momentum collapsed after Myles Lewis-Skelly conceded a penalty, which Ndiaye converted. The result leaves Arsenal 11 points behind Liverpool, who now have a game in hand.
