Como won the first European match in the club’s 119-year history by beating RB Leipzig 4-1 in their Champions League debut. Martin Baturina, Anastasios Douvikas, Assane Diao and Maximo Perrone scored for Cesc Fabregas’ side in Italy.
Como built a three-goal lead before the hour and responded comfortably after Leipzig pulled one back. The result capped the club’s rapid rise after finishing fourth in Serie A last season, while supporters celebrated a first-ever night of European competition.
