Barcelona defeated Real Betis 5-2 to secure their ninth consecutive league victory and equal the best start to a La Liga season. Lamine Yamal produced another outstanding performance, opening the scoring as Barcelona matched a record previously achieved by Real Madrid.
Yamal scored a solo goal in the tenth minute before Valentin Gomez equalised. Rodri restored Barcelona’s lead with his first goal for the club, and the visitors eventually finished with five goals. Real Betis had Facundo Bernal sent off following an altercation with Yamal. Barcelona now prepare for Champions League and El Clasico fixtures with their perfect domestic start intact.
