Al-Ittihad defeated Al-Nassr 2-1 in the fifth round of the Saudi Pro League after George Ilenikhena scored twice inside 22 minutes. Al-Nassr recovered through Angelo in the 36th minute but could not find an equaliser.
Al-Ittihad pressed aggressively from the start before protecting their advantage with a deeper second-half shape. Al-Nassr manager Ange Postecoglou argued his side created the better chances after the opening phase, while goalkeeper Predrag Rajkovic repeatedly denied them.
