Wolves striker Raul Jimenez will undergo surgery on his injured left knee after treatment failed to heal a medial collateral ligament problem. The 35-year-old is expected to remain unavailable until January and will miss Mexico’s Nations League quarter-finals against Jamaica.

Wolves said repeated scans showed the ligament had not recovered as expected after an injury sustained against Everton. Specialists recommended an operation scheduled for Friday, followed by approximately three months of rehabilitation before the striker returns to action.
