Former Norwich City striker Teemu Pukki has announced that he will retire from professional football at the age of 36 following the conclusion of Finland’s Veikkausliiga season on 8 November. Pukki leaves the game as Finland’s all-time leading men’s international goalscorer, with 43 goals in 133 appearances.
Pukki confirmed his decision in a social media statement reflecting on his career and thanking supporters. He became a Norwich favourite after arriving on a free transfer in 2018, helping the club win two Championship titles and secure promotion to the Premier League twice. He also played for Celtic, Schalke, Brøndby, Minnesota United and HJK Helsinki. Pukki retired from international football in 2025.
