    Rodri Returns for Manchester City After ACL Surgery

    Ballon d’Or winner Rodri made his long-awaited return from ACL and meniscus surgery, coming on in the 83rd minute during Man City’s match against Bournemouth. It was his first appearance since being injured against Arsenal in September.
    Rodri received a standing ovation at the Etihad Stadium and replaced Erling Haaland late in the match. His recovery means he will likely be fit for the Club World Cup in the U.S. next month.

    Saudi champions Al Ittihad are prepared to pay Bruno Guimarães’ €120 million release clause to sign him from Newcastle United. Talks have already taken place with the player’s agent, Alexis Malavolta, though salary demands are expected to exceed €40–50 million annually.
    Al Ittihad made Guimarães their top priority, but face competition from Al Hilal, who are also in contact with his representatives. Guimarães has five goals and nine assists this season and played a key role in Newcastle’s Carabao Cup triumph.
