Stephen Curry bruised his right quadriceps in the Warriors’ 104-100 loss to the Rockets and will undergo an MRI, raising fears Golden State could be without their superstar guard for a stretch as they struggle to find rhythm early in the regular season. Curry was hurt while contesting a drive from Amen Thompson, finished with 14 points and seven turnovers, and limped away as Steve Kerr admitted rotations will change if he misses time. Gary Payton II sprained an ankle, while Jimmy Butler challenged the Warriors’ focus.
