Barcelona sporting director Deco confirmed there is no penalty clause if the club opts against making Rashford’s loan permanent next summer. The deal includes a €30m option, but unlike Jadon Sancho’s loan to Chelsea, no financial obligation exists if they decline.
Rashford has impressed since arriving, tallying two goals and four assists in eight appearances while covering for injured wingers Lamine Yamal and Raphinha. Deco praised his adaptation, noting his consistency despite United struggles, while coach Hansi Flick said recent goals against Newcastle proved he has “arrived” in Spain.
