Sunderland are finalising a €12m (£10.4m) transfer for Getafe defender Omar Alderete, with all sides expecting the move to be completed soon. The Paraguayan has already approved the switch.
Talks are progressing quickly, with only final agreement details pending. Alderete, a left-footed centre-back with three years left on his contract, is ready for the move to England.
