Watford have sacked head coach Tom Cleverley after finishing 14th in the Championship despite a strong early record. He becomes the club’s 10th managerial casualty in five years.
Appointed full-time after a promising start in 2024, Cleverley’s side won only five league games in 2025. Sporting director Gian Luca Nani cited the need for a fresh direction to develop the club’s young squad.
