Al-Ahly, Zamalek, Pyramids and Egyptian Football Association

Al-Ahly and Zamalek have been placed in the same half of the 2026-27 Egypt Cup knockout draw, creating the possibility of a meeting before the final. Defending champions Pyramids were also assigned their opening fixture as the tournament’s round-of-32 schedule was announced.
Al-Ahly will face the winner of El Nasr against El Sekka El Hadid, while Zamalek will meet the winner of Misr Lel Tameen against Pharco. Pyramids begin against either El Dakhleya or El Tersana. The Egyptian Football Association also mapped out the remaining route through the competition. A meeting between Al-Ahly and Zamalek is possible but depends on their progression.
