PSG have confirmed that Khvicha Kvaratskhelia suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during Tuesday’s Champions League victory over Barcelona. The Georgian winger will undergo surgery in the coming days and faces a lengthy absence. The club also confirmed thigh injuries to Ousmane Dembélé and Marquinhos.
Kvaratskhelia twisted his knee during a challenge with Xavi Espart and was substituted in the 59th minute. PSG’s medical update confirmed the ligament rupture but did not specify an official return date. Dembélé requires treatment for a left-thigh injury, while Marquinhos is receiving treatment for a right-thigh injury. Both are expected to undergo treatment over the coming weeks, with their recovery timelines still uncertain.
