Tottenham midfielder Dejan Kulusevski made his first competitive appearance in 526 days during the club’s 3-1 Premier League victory over Coventry City. The Sweden international returned after a prolonged recovery from a serious knee injury that had kept him out since May 2025.
Manager Roberto De Zerbi introduced Kulusevski in the 86th minute to an enthusiastic reception from Tottenham supporters. The 26-year-old had undergone a lengthy rehabilitation process that included setbacks and surgery. Speaking after the match, Kulusevski said the experience had changed his outlook and made him a more thoughtful player. Tottenham are expected to increase his playing time gradually rather than rush him back into regular starts.
