Manchester City winger Antoine Semenyo is expected to miss approximately eight weeks after suffering a knee injury during the club’s 3-2 Premier League victory over Ipswich Town. Manager Enzo Maresca confirmed the estimated recovery period ahead of City’s Champions League fixture against AEK Athens.

Semenyo sustained the injury after entering the match as a substitute in the 76th minute. Subsequent scans showed the damage was less serious than initially feared, although the Ghana international still faces an extended absence. City have alternative wide players including Jeremy Doku, Phil Foden and Rayan Cherki. Haaland, who also suffered a knock against Ipswich, could be available for the European match pending a final fitness assessment.
