19 October 2026
Former FA Cup winners Leicester City will face sixth-tier Oxford City away from home in the first round of the 2026-27 competition. It will be Leicester’s first appearance at this stage since 2008 following their relegation to League One.
The first-round draw produced several notable fixtures, including Peterborough United against Reading, which will pit manager Robbie Savage against his son Charlie’s club. Eighth-tier AFC Rushden & Diamonds earned an away tie against Burton Albion, while Bradford City will host Marine. First-round matches are scheduled around the weekend of 7 November.
