West Ham United, Swansea City and Divine Mukasa
17 October 2026
West Ham United defeated Championship leaders Swansea City 1-0 to move within one point of the top of the table. Divine Mukasa scored the decisive goal as West Ham continued their promotion push and ended Swansea’s four-match winning streak.
Mukasa struck during the first half of a closely contested match. Swansea defender Ben Cabango hit the crossbar and missed another opportunity, while goalkeeper Lawrence Vigouroux prevented West Ham from extending their advantage. West Ham moved into second place and have scored 30 goals in 11 Championship matches. Swansea remain top despite suffering their first home league defeat since April.
