AC Milan are reportedly prioritising a central defender in January after Matteo Gabbia suffered a serious thigh injury that is expected to sideline him for at least three months. Sporting defender Goncalo Inacio and Bayern Munich’s Kim Min-jae have emerged as potential targets.
Gabbia sustained a left-thigh flexor injury involving part of the tendon and has opted for conservative treatment. Milan reportedly renewed contact with Inacio’s representatives, although Sporting may demand more than €40 million. The club has also made preliminary enquiries about Kim’s availability. Neither transfer is confirmed.
