Several Zambia internationals playing in the National Women’s Soccer League face missing crucial end-of-season matches because of US entry restrictions following their national team’s visit to Uganda. A 21-day restriction could prevent the players from returning before the final stages of the regular season.
Zambia played an Olympic qualifier in Uganda on 8 October. US public-health entry restrictions linked to Ebola concerns affect foreign nationals who have recently visited the country. Orlando Pride’s Barbra Banda, Chicago Stars’ Racheal Kundananji and Angel City’s Prisca Chilufya are among those affected. The NWSL confirmed that the players are in excellent health and is working with immigration authorities on their return.
