FIFA, Gianni Infantino and the Trump Organization

FIFA faces questions over a reported seven-year office lease in New York’s Trump Tower worth approximately $4 million. Media reporting claims the offices are largely unoccupied, raising concerns about the expenditure and FIFA president Gianni Infantino’s relationship with the US president’s family.
The reported agreement covers approximately 450 square metres, with annual rent around $470,000. Journalists also reported that alternative premises were not assessed and some FIFA officials raised potential conflict-of-interest concerns. FIFA maintains that the rent reflects market rates and the arrangement complies with its internal procedures.
