Manchester City defeated ten-man Liverpool 3-0 at Anfield, maintaining their perfect Premier League start with six victories from six matches. Erling Haaland, Jérémy Doku and Rayan Cherki scored as City extended their lead at the top of the table.
Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch received a second yellow card in the 62nd minute. Haaland broke the deadlock three minutes later, Doku added a spectacular second and Cherki completed the scoring. The victory came amid intense supporter hostility following City’s financial-rules verdict.
