11 October 2026
Celtic defeated Motherwell 2-0 at Fir Park to return to the top of the Scottish Premiership after three consecutive defeats. The match also marked winger Jota’s long-awaited return to competitive football following almost eighteen months sidelined through injury.
Camilo Durán opened the scoring before Benjamin Nygren secured victory in the second half. Jota entered as a substitute in the 74th minute and nearly provided an assist. The win moved Martin O’Neill’s side back above Rangers.
