Gift Monday, Boston Legacy FC and Washington Spirit
8 October 2026
Boston Legacy have signed Nigeria international Gift Monday from Washington Spirit in a $500,000 intraleague transfer. The forward changes clubs after scoring 12 goals across 48 appearances since joining Washington last year.
Washington will also receive 20% of any future transfer fee involving Monday. Boston expect the striker to strengthen their pressing and attacking options. The transaction was completed before the NWSL roster freeze, allowing the player to join immediately.
