Chelsea defender Naomi Girma has suffered another setback with the recurring calf problem that has repeatedly interrupted her club and international career. She withdrew from the United States squad and is expected to miss several weeks.
US coach Emma Hayes said her staff are working with Chelsea to change how Girma is managed after repeated problems. Girma has yet to play a league match this season and will miss the upcoming United States games against Spain.
