Manchester City Women and Arsenal Women
4 October 2026
Manchester City beat Arsenal 4-2 at the Etihad Stadium, leaving the Gunners already 10 points behind the Women’s Super League leaders after five matches. Arsenal twice took the lead before eventually suffering a second consecutive defeat.
Arsenal now have just one win from their opening five WSL fixtures, their second-worst start at this stage of a season. Manager Renee Slegers retains the club’s backing despite their four-match winless league run.
