Savannah DeMelo and Racing Louisville

Savannah DeMelo is set to return to competitive football for the first time in more than a year after suffering cardiac arrest during a match in September 2025. Racing Louisville have also extended her contract through the 2027 season.
DeMelo will be available against Utah Royals after completing her recovery from an undiagnosed cardiac arrhythmia. She is separately suing Racing’s outgoing medical partner over an alleged failure to diagnose the condition before her on-field collapse.
