The United Arab Emirates finished top of Gulf Cup 27 Group Two after drawing 1-1 with Qatar. Both teams ended on seven points, with the UAE taking first place on goal difference as the tournament’s semifinal line-up was confirmed.
Almoez Ali put Qatar ahead before Ali Saleh equalised in first-half stoppage time. The result sends the UAE into a semifinal against Oman, while hosts Saudi Arabia will face Qatar in the other tie.
