Raphinha, Brazil and Barcelona

Brazil have released Raphinha back to Barcelona after imaging tests revealed a small muscle oedema. The winger was withdrawn at half-time against Australia and will miss Brazil’s remaining friendly against India as a precaution.
Brazil’s medical staff and Barcelona agreed that Raphinha should return to Catalonia to avoid aggravating the problem. The concern is heightened by four previous injuries to the same right thigh last season, with his availability for Getafe still uncertain.
