FIFA, Gianni Infantino and member associations

FIFA president Gianni Infantino has backed the principle of distributing additional money from FIFA’s cash reserves to its 211 member associations. UEFA and Concacaf have proposed payments of at least $10 million per association during the 2027-30 cycle.
Infantino has not committed to a specific amount and instructed FIFA’s administration to consolidate the competing proposals. The FIFA Council will consider the funding structure on 15 October, including how much can be distributed responsibly and under what governance arrangements.
