Graham Alexander and Preston North End

Preston North End have appointed Graham Alexander as their new manager, completing his move from League One leaders Bradford City. The former Preston player replaces Paul Heckingbottom with North End second bottom of the Championship after eight matches.
Alexander returns to Deepdale alongside assistant Chris Lucketti after Bradford granted permission for talks last week. He previously made 372 league appearances for Preston and will take charge of his first permanent match against Millwall on 10 October.
