Rosario Central won Argentina’s Supercopa Internacional after beating Estudiantes 3-1 at the Madre de Ciudades stadium. Angel Di Maria scored twice, first from a free-kick and then from the penalty spot, before Julian Fernandez added a stoppage-time third.
Estudiantes led after 53 seconds through Alexis Castro, but Di Maria overturned the match before half-time. The final stages descended into clashes between players, while Estudiantes president Juan Sebastian Veron confronted referee Dario Herrera after disputing several decisions.
