Medical tests have identified Kylian Mbappe’s France injury as a hyperextension of his left knee, with reports placing his recovery at roughly two weeks. The diagnosis follows his withdrawal from the national squad after scoring against Turkey.
Mbappe returned to Madrid for scans after leaving France’s Nations League opener and was found to have avoided a more serious injury. Real Madrid hope he can recover around the resumption of La Liga against Villarreal on 10 October.
