Nicolo Tresoldi, Italy and Germany

Club Brugge striker Nicolo Tresoldi has chosen to switch international allegiance from Germany’s youth system to Italy after discussions with coach Roberto Mancini. Italy are now waiting for FIFA approval before potentially selecting him for September’s Nations League squad.
Tresoldi was born in Cagliari, holds Italian citizenship and scored 12 goals in 24 Germany Under-21 appearances. FIFA’s one-time change rules permit the switch because he has not played an official senior match for Germany.
